Proceed with the application form and surrender it.

In order to get a new license plate in Honolulu, visit your county’s Department of Motor Vehicles and apply for a license plate; Standard, Vanity, or Personalized. You’ll need the vehicle title and registration and valid driver’s ID.

Whenever you have lost, damaged, or just need new license plates as they were stolen, you may apply for a replacement. Registration in advance is not required in this case.

You just need to report to the police department that you’ve lost or someone has stolen your license plate. The second step will be to fill in the application form and have it signed. Provide your registration certificate and title and if you’ve one plate remained bring it with you.

In fact, there will be charges applicable for replacement. Emblem replacement is 50 cents and license plates cost $5 to replace.

Submit a signed letter for a loading zone permit for your vehicle, either new or renewed. The letter must include vehicle information: license number, make, type, VIN number, address, and cheques. Attach your Driver’s ID as well.
